The GUI isn't very powerful. When you'll have enough experience, you will do everything in xml :) Its faster, stable and easy to use.

I have an app layout looking good on my device:
A non-scrolling area at the top (for a couple of buttons)...
... and... a scrolling area (about 2 screen heights tall) below that.

But in Eclipse, the scrolling area can never be changed in the GUI "graphic layout".
It appears everything is piled "on top of each other".

Will I have to ALWAYS edit things in the XML window instead?

I'm using all the latest releases of Eclipse/Android/etc as of Dec 2011.

Thanks

Hi,
It Helps a lot. I have one query in this can we just show the text field only when keypad is in open state and use the whole bottom space for scroll when keypad is off.
Basically I want put some buttons when keypad in open and not to show them when iin normal mode. Thanks in advance.
